Dakota Collins Joins UWWV Board

The United Way of Whitewater Valley Board of Directors is delighted to announce that Dakota Collins has joined our ranks. Dakota comes to us from Earlham College, where he focuses on strengthening the college’s engagement with the local community and leads the $25 million Revitalize Richmond. The initiative is aimed at downtown redevelopment. In addition to assuming a Board leadership role with United Way of Whitewater Valley, Dakota serves on the Boards of Main Street Richmond and the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department.

Collins is a welcome addition to UWWV’s growing board, which now includes eight community leaders with experience in education, health, banking and financial services, and community service. His work at Earlham College involves organizing events, developing community outreach programs, and acting as a liaison between the college and the local community. These efforts foster mutual support and collaboration and are well-aligned with United Way of Whitewater Valley’s purpose to mobilize communities to action so all can thrive.
